Clare

Clare is the sorceress apprentice to Udonna. She is the daughter of the Gatekeeper, Niella; the sister of Udonna.

Back during the great battle of Good and Evil, when the Red Warrior (Leanbow) went into the gate, Niella was ordered to cast a powerful spell that would seal the gate, and banish Black Doom & his armies to the Underworld. However, the spell was so strong that it depleted all of her life force. When the gate was lowered to the depths, Niella was gone. However, the Gatekeeper's spirit still lives through her only heir, Clare.

Udonna then took her into her home and then Clare began to get some practice, but sometimes with disatrous results, such as turning herself into a sheep, quite by accident, mind you. And when Sonic, Knuckles, Amy, Shadow, and Blaze came to become the Power Rangers, she reminded Sonic of Princess Elise III of Soleana (a long story that should not be covered), but to Shadow, just by her appearance, with a little blindness, she looked just like Maria on the Space Colony A.R.K. She was still inexperienced at the time. And once Udonna went to defeat some of the Black Arms as the White Mystic Ranger, she was very concerned and told the group that they had to go and help her, because, she confessed, the Gatekeeper's heir was very inexperienced and had no idea of this. Sonic, Blaze, Knuckles, and Amy accepted the invitation immediately, but Shadow was still a little hesitant. Finally, they convinced him, and off they went.

Once the Power Rangers had defeated the Black Arms and Black Doom, Leanbow returned from his state as Koragg. Then they found some dirty secrets that Dr. Eggman, who had just come in, was trying to hide, such as where Queen Elsa was. Clare was never able to see the Queen or any of Arendelle, but in order to seal the Gates so that the darkness could not destroy it or any of its citizens, there needed to be a spell. She morphed into her Gatekeeper mode and was able to cast the spell, but like her mother, it cost her her life. Her soul then left for the Master Emerald, now restored, and is said to still be in there with Grand Pappie and many of those who have led a good life to this very day.
